One of the most obvious signs of an ill-fitting denture is when they start slipping in your mouth when you talk, laugh, or even eat and drink. This can happen over time as your jawbone naturally changes shape with age, making the dentures less secure than they used to be. Consider visiting a dentist if your dentures are slipping or feel less secure.
Over time, ill-fitting dentures can cause denture sores because they rub against the gums and other delicate areas inside the mouth. These sores can range from minor cuts and abrasions to uncomfortable ulcers that require medical attention.
